The telecom market is a highly competitive and increasingly strictly regulated market. Telecom companies (telcos) need costing models for internal purposes like product profitability analysis and pricing. In addition, in order to meet regulatory requirements, the models need to be transparent and compliant with ITU regulations.
Our philosophy is to create one fully allocated costing model that produces all required information for both management and regulators.
Of course the model can be set up from scratch. In most telcos however cost models were created before regulatory requirements were known. A lot of these models are constructed in Excel. Maintenance of these models is difficult and time consuming and the error risk is huge. TRAG Consultants specializes in translating such models into models that meet regulatory requirements but are also relatively easy to maintain.
TRAG Consultants offers implementation services of Fully Allocated Costing and Long Run Incremental Costing and training in supporting software applications. We also sell the software tools and maintain them, giving our customers the benefit of a single point of entry for support in concept, models and technology.
